Helloooo!!!!!
Sorry that I've been terrible at keeping everyone updated on my mission and all the wondeful exciting news that happens, but that's just because there hasn't been any! HOWEVER- This weekend we did have some exciting news! Besides Conference (which was AMAZING) we had our moves call:
*drumroll*... After 6.5 months here in Cumbernauld on the Eastern side of Glasgow, my time here is now up! I'll sadly be leaving my son Elder Johns (when you train someone, they're your 'son') and I'll be heading back to Ireland!!!
I'm now assigned to Labor in the Cork West area in Cork, Ireland! It's near the southern edge of Ireland. I've heard it's a really nice city with lots of people and a great branch of 70-80 memebers (funnily enough, that's bigger than the ward here!) My companion is going to be Elder Wightman, who I've met briefly and who seems really great! We stay in a HOUSE with 2 other Elders, so that'll be a definite plus.
SO: How does this effect the hundreds of letters I receive from my adoring fans each week? (It's funny cause it's sarcasm.) Well, I don't know the address just yet, but you can ALWAYS send it to the mission home address and it'll be forwarded to me no matter where I am in the mission. The mission home address is:
Elder Creytn Crosby
51 Spylaw Road
Edinurgh EH10 5BP
Scotland
Simple Enough? Excellent. Well, General Conference was this weekend and I loved it! I especially loved the focus that the Brethren had on the Family and on Member and Full-time Missionary Work! Everbody needs to be 'Catching the wave' of missionary work and sharing this amazing Gospel with those that mean most of them. I PROMISE you that if you sincerely pray to have a simple misisonary moment each day and walk with your eyes open to them, that God will give you the words and inspiration necessary to share the message of the Restoration with those that mean most to you. It doesn't have to be complex or elequent. Any conversation about the church, any explanation, any invitation, and any testimony is a missionary success, even if you don't baptize the person you speak to. We STILL reap the blessings of missionary work, even if those we invite choose not to take our invitations.
Well I love you all! Have an amazing week!
~Elder Crosby
